Luke Bryan Bridgestone Arena Concert reviews
Eric Clapton
"Watching him play is mesmerizing and soul stirring. His deep bluesy voice hasn't lost a thing over the years. The concert was not long enough. The best song was a great rendition of "I Shot the Sheriff". They played 12 songs and it took about 5 minutes to get him to do an encore of one song. The worst song was "Lealah"; he didn't play it. He is a magic man with that guitar. His affect was flat and he didn't interact with the audience. As creative as he is, he definitely falls into the upper left quadrant of analytical's. Just went from one song to the next.
Roger Daltry opened for him and lost his voice after 2 songs. I would have preferred no Daltry and 4 or 5 more songs from Luke Bryan. The intermission was over a half-hour long; way too long. Other than that, it was a good concert and I'm glad I got to see him.
The set was very plain with some strangely colored backlights."
